Dr. James Milgram shares very disturbing information regarding the Common Core Math Standards. He is a Hoosier born mathematics expert and states that the Common Core Math Standards will destroy students’ ability to move into STEM careers. America’s place in the area of technology will be sincerely hampered by these standards.
He likens the current standards battle to the 1990’s California math standards battle. The Common Core standards are the same horrible standards that were defeated twenty years ago. He says the damage done to most students subjected to these standards is irreversible after three or four years. Now with Common Core there is no systematic way to defeat it. It has to be state by state. Hoosiers Against Common Core is leading the fight in Indiana.
He states that technology is moving out of the US to foreign nations. America is losing its competitive edge, and Common Core is accelerating the problem.
