Minecraft Geology Workshop

April 14-18 | 10-11am EDT each day

Geared for ages 10+, younger siblings welcome

Join geologist Dr. Marcus Ross and delve into the geology of Minecraft™! In this live, 5-part class, students will learn about minerals, rocks, and the real craft of mining. Each day features an hour-long session of presentation time plus live Q&A. Students will explore all the great specimens in our new MyCraft geology kit and learn their physical properties using the tools in our Geology Testing Kit.

The MyCraft: A Minecraft Inspired Rock and Mineral Kit and a Geology Testing Kit are optional. Dr. Ross will go through every specimen in the kit over the 5 classes using Power Points and the kit as we learn about geology. Families should order the kit no later than the Wednesday before class to ensure they get it ahead of the start of classes on Monday.

$20/family for IAHE Premium & Supporting Members and $40/family for non-members.

Bio:
Marcus Ross has loved paleontology (especially dinosaurs) since he was four years old. He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Science (Geoscience) from the University of Rhode Island and is passionate about God, science, and creation. He and his wife Corinna live in Lynchburg, Virginia, and home school their four children.
