IAHE has received calls from homeschool parents whose children would like to apply for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship. They had requested that we contact Lilly on their behalf. We have been told by many homeschoolers that they had contacted Lilly as well to ask them to consider changing their policy. Below is a statement that IAHE received from The Lilly Endowment:
The Lilly Endowment, is an Indianapolis-based private foundation that is committed to the causes of community development, education and religion. The Endowment’s Education Division focuses on Indiana’s K-12 schools, colleges and universities and community colleges. This year, the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program is open to all Indiana residents who graduate from an accredited Indiana high school by 2016 and receive their diploma no later than June 30, 2016, and plan to pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study at an accredited public or private nonprofit college or university in Indiana.
