Project-Based Learning—It’s a Lifestyle

It all started with a Christmas gift of 1,000 popsicle sticks and a hot glue gun. Now, years later, several teenagers’ projects take over our kitchen, art room, and basement—3-D printing, leather working, dioramas, photography, engineering, sewing, wood working… Creative and independent learning opportunities abound, but where do we start with each child? What kind of raw materials and guidance do they need to develop their strengths? How are our 6, 10, and 17-year-olds using their time? Let’s delve into the world of project-based learning as a lifestyle.

Developing an Appreciation for Life Through Homesteading

How did that chicken you ate live and die? Why should you care where your food comes from? Do your children know how to grow food, care for and butcher an animal, make basic household necessities? Can you defend your family against a threat? Integrating homesteading, self-sufficiency, and self-defense into your homeschool lifestyle can be a natural transition. Join us for this workshop as we explore a redemptive approach to understanding life and death and discuss the practical integration with homeschooling.
