Who Was Charlotte Mason? Why is this 19th century British educator so popular among homeschoolers today? In this workshop, Kathy will explain the methods Charlotte Mason used in her schools that were so successful, such as her use of “living books” instead of textbooks, nature study and nature notebooks, the use of oral and written narration instead of tests and worksheets, and more. We will also give you a chance to practice some of these methods in the workshop! Kathy has been a part of a Charlotte Mason support group for 20 years and will share how she implemented Miss Masons ideas in her own homeschool, and how others are doing it with their families.
